How “Good” is Friday?

Today is the Christian holiday known as Good Friday. This is the day that Jesus is said to have been crucified. If you are Catholic, you will know that Good Friday is traditionally a fast day, and a day to preform acts of reparations for insults and blasphemies against Jesus, Mary and name of god.
